REVIEW: Panther by Brecht Evens

PantherPanther by Brecht Evens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story of an imaginary panther who shows up right after a young girl's cat dies is consistently unnerving. I am reminded of Maurice Sendak when reading and that is never a bad thing. As beautifully drawn and richly atmospheric as it is creepy, Panther makes the perfect bed time story for adults who remember childhood like it really was, full of uncertainty and fear of the unknown.
