I was meeting a friend at a nearby sushi restaurant for lunch recently, and when I showed up, he shook my hand and then pushed a book across the table at me. I had heard of HABITAT, but this was my first encounter with the physical book. I was immediately drawn in by the cover, which whispered sweet nothings to my sci-fi loving brainparts. I didn't want to spoil anything by doing too much leafing through (as I sometimes do), but rest assured, once I read this, I'll tell you how it was.
What I do know is that HABITAT is three short comic stories originally released in the Image anthology book, ISLAND. Roy Simon wrote, drew, and lettered this book, which I find kind of great, and that, coupled with an enthusiastic review from my friend over tuna rolls, has got me pretty excited to jump in.
